4 Dining Locations Repening and a Hotel Renovation!

It's been an exciting week for Walt Disney World news as it has been revealed that four dining locations are reopening very soon, plus an Iconic Disney Resort is having a movie themed makeover!

It was announced this week that the following restaurants are going to be welcoming Guests back in the coming weeks. This includes:

Gaston's Tavern - 4th September

Cinderella's Royal Table - 24th September

Hollywood & Vine - 25th September

ABC Commissary - 8th October

Gaston's Tavern

Gaston's Tavern is a great option to grab some snacks and of course try the famous LeFou's Brew! And even better it seems The Master's Cupcake is now on the menu! This means everyone can now try The Grey Stuff!

Previously this cupcake was only available to buy in Be Our Guest Restaurant. Recently Be Our Guest changed from a quick service restaurant at breakfast and lunch and table service for dinner to being a table service only restaurant, serving lunch and dinner. This meant that The Grey Stuff was no longer able to be purchased as a quick service snack. But now with this iconic cupcake appearing on the Gaston's Tavern menu everyone can now try this delicious snack!

Cinderella's Royal Table

Cinderella's Royal Table, where you get to dine INSIDE Cinderella's castle, is reopening but with some modifications. Previously this was a character dining experience where you got to meet classic Disney Princess. Temporarily character dining has been suspended at this restaurant.

Previously we have seen prices drop a bit when characters are no longer offered. As of yet the price hasn't been updated on Disney's website, but when bookings for Cinderella's Royal Table open on 11th September we will be able to see if the price has been reduced at all.

Breakfast is no longer being offered but you can still enjoy lunch or dinner at this iconic Magic Kingdom restaurant.

Hollywood & Vine

Some great news is that Hollywood & Vine, in Hollywood Studios, is reopening with a modified character experience! This now means there will be three options for character dining at Walt Disney World Resort:

- Hollywood & Vine in Hollywood Studios

- Garden Grill in EPCOT

- Topolino's Terrace at the Riviera Resort.

When Hollywood & Vine reopens you will be able to meet Minnie Mouse and friends for physically distanced photos. And the added bonus is the characters will be in their Halloween costumes!

Upon reopening the menu options at Hollywood & Vine will be a bit different to what they were previously. Hollywood & Vine used to serve breakfast, lunch and dinner and was a buffet restaurant. Now only lunch and dinner are being served and the restaurant has changed from buffet style to family-style. Your first course will be a family-style salad with a smokehouse ranch dressing or a plant-based ranch dressing. Then you can select from a range of entrees, which include shrimp mac & cheese, garlic and cracked black pepper prime rib, seared fresh salmon with grain mustard beurre blanc, carved herb roasted turkey breast, pork osso bucco or pan roasted king trumpet mushrooms. For dessert there is a selection of pies including apple blueberry pie, chocolate s'mores pie, banana cream pie, cherry lemon pie or vanilla creme brulee.

Reservations open for Hollywood & Vine and Cinderella's Royal Table open on 11th September.

ABC Commissary

The final dining location reopening soon is ABC Commissary in Hollywood Studios. This is a quick service location that serves American cuisine for breakfast, lunch and dinner. At the moment the Disney website is still showing it will be offering all three services. I will keep checking to see if there is any modifications to this menu closer to its reopening date on 8th October.

Polynesian Village Resort Renovations

The other big news this week is that the Polynesian Village Resort would be having some renovation work undertaken before it reopens in Summer 2021. The updates are themed to a Disney movie that is the perfect fit for this resort: Moana!

What do you think of the Moana theming planned for the Polynesian Village Resort?
